This septa was designed for specific, older instruments such as Agilent 1050 and to provide extra cleaning when "wiping" a needle. Also provides a small degree of better resealing after injection compared to Silicone Rubber / PTFE Septa.

SIMILAR TO 95025-09-2SHigh Purity Silicone Rubber / PTFE Septa with Durometer of 45 Shore A, (hardness) and 3.0mm thick with Ultra Low Bleed Rubber that is made with a proprietary process for ultra durability, purity and low extractables. Excellent choice for highly sensitive analyses. The lower Durometer means that this is a softer Septa and therefore better for easier penetrations by autosampler needles. Wide temperature range from -60⁰ to 200⁰C. Bimetallic caps are still magnetic but easier to crimp compared to all steel crimp caps.

Soft polyethylene caps are more pliable than other Snap Caps and are easier to place on the vial. Popular choice when using a large number of caps at one time. These caps may not seal as well as other Snap Caps and should be used with sample solvents with low volatility. Y Shape Pre-Slit provides a greater target area for needles and are easier to penetrate. The 1.0mm Septa is thicker than most and offers improved sealing compared with other similar Septa. Pre-Slit Septa are normally recommended for Waters Alliance and Acquity instruments.

This is one of the snap caps on the market and has been available for over 25 years. Pre-Slit septa are normally recommended for Waters Alliance instruments. X Shape Pre-Slit provides a greater target area for needles and are easier to penetrate but do not reseal as well as single slit septa.
